At Perlan’s exhibitions you learn all about Icelandic nature in interactive and fun ways. There, you find unique nature experiences as natural wonders come alive at your fingertips. Explore the world’s first real indoor ice cave and learn about glaciers at an interactive exhibition. Feel the forces of nature and see how Iceland was formed. Explore seabirds in a lifelike cliff and go on a cinematic underwater journey around Iceland. Finally, sit back in a first-class planetarium to go on a virtual journey around Iceland or see the northern lights dance all around you.
The Icelandic Museum of Natural History also has a hands-on exhibition at Perlan. There, you discover the mysteries of water in Icelandic nature.
Perlan is one of Reykjavík‘s most iconic buildings, standing on the capital‘s highest hill. The 360° Observation Deck is excellent, with picture panels and various geological samples from around Reykjavík. On Perlan’s top floor, you find the lovely Kaffitár café and Út í bláinn restaurant. They offer delicacies for everyone and great views from every seat. You also find Rammagerðin, one of Iceland’s oldest gift stores, offering Icelandic design.
Perlan is a world-class attraction, educating through experiences. They work with renowned museum artists, the University of Iceland, top-scientists, leading photographers and other specialists to create unique spectacles.
